Mark Greaves, M.D.
Dr. Greaves received his undergraduate education at Cornell University. He then attended Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, on the strength of an academic scholarship. He went on to do his residency in Internal Medicine at New York Presbyterian Hospital – Cornell. Finally, he completed his fellowship training in Gastroenterology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.
As a result of working at one of the premier cancer centers in the U.S., Dr. Greaves has become an expert in managing the various gastrointestinal diseases and complications that can arise in the setting of malignancy. He also has considerable experience in the management of GERD, chronic hepatitis, and pancreatic/biliary disorders. Previous research has focused on a variety of gastrointestinal topics including asymptomatic ileitis, pancreatic cysts, and palliative drainage gastrostomies in patients with malignant bowel obstruction; which has led to both publications and presentations at national conferences.
Dr. Greaves is skilled in both diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, with a special concentration in Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS). He is also able to perform Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), enteral stenting of the esophagus/duodenum/rectum, and placement of both gastrostomy tubes (PEG tubes) and jejunostomy tubes (PEJ tubes).
Dr. Greaves is board certified in both Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine. He is on staff at Somerset Medical Center. He is currently available for office or hospital based consultations, as well as in-patient and out-patient endoscopic procedures.
